FROST ENGINEERING is one of the contracted companies to review, analyze and determine what condition all toll road bridges are in and the propose the plans for repair to recover damage or loss of each bridge on the Indiana Toll Road.
What does an INDIANA TOLL ROAD bridge inspection comprise of?

ITR is a toll road that streches 157miles from downtown Chicago to the border of Ohio; which containes a sum total of 21 on and off ramps
Why did this occur?
In 1951, the Indiana General Assembly passed legislation creating the Indiana Toll Road Commission. The toll road opened in late 1956. In 1985 legislation authorized the Toll Finance Authority to enter into contracts or leases with the Department of Highways (now INDOT) for the operation of all toll road and toll bridge projects.

In January the 23, of 2006 Statewide Mobility Partners LLC (SMP) formed the ITR Concession Company LLC to operate and manage the ITR. In turn on June 29, 2006 ITRCC then assumed full operating and maintainence responsbilities of the Indiana toll road.
ITR Concession Company has currently invested nearly $300 million in road improvements and has committed to investing an additional $300 million in improvements over the next 7 yrs
Frost Engineering was selected to inspect all of the ITR bridges from Chicago to the border of Ohio. Once these are inspected, project plans are submitted for proposal and construction begins.
